Return of the Queen

Thebes Publishing novella
‘He was the son of a Pharaoh and the brother of a Pharaoh. Respect his memory or I will make you do so, I swear it.’
In 276BC Alexandria, a soothsayer makes an extraordinary claim... the well-known charlatan announces that she is possessed by the consciousness of the forgotten Pharaoh Erimemushinteperem...
Enlisting the help of Pharaoh's Vizier, the leader of Egypt's armies and of the most famous investigator in Alexandria, Erimem sets out to protect Egypt from attack... and to protect her brothers, whose eternal rest is in peril.
Based on and expanded from the script 'Return of the Queen' from Imagination Theatre's 'Kerides the Thinker' radio series, written by Claire Bartlett and Iain McLaughlin. Notes: This was the first story Erimem appeared in after she left the Big Finish audio series. Straight from the moment she left the audios, I knew that I wanted to do more with the character. Claire and I had been writing a mystery series Kerides the Thinker for Imagination Theatre for a while. I came up with a notion for how we could use Erimem in that series, and some of the thoughts I had there went on to be used in the novels that started some years later. Given that Imagination Theatre recorded their plays in Seattle, that kind of meant that Caroline Morris, who had played Erimem for Big Finish, wouldn't be able to play the role here... but the script was written in such a way that Caroline was probably the only actress who couldn't play the part in this story.
