Charity Books
DOCTOR WHO
There is a long history of charity publications in Doctor Who, going back to the late 1990s. Over the years these charitable publications have raised an extraordinary amount of money for some very good causes. Stories and articles for these books have been written by talented and enthusiastic fans, joined by professional writers and even actors from the show. They're a fabulous part of the creative community surrounding Doctor Who and a sign of the great kindness that you find in that fan group. It's also a fan community that has encouraged and produced some incredible writing and artistic talent over the years.
I have been lucky enough to contribute to a number of these charitable publications. Sometimes I take part because of the charity involved, sometimes it's because it's a friend editing or publishing, sometimes it's the subject of the book that appeals to me... I've generally enjoyed myself enormously with these stories.
